IBADAN – Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, lawmaker representing Oyo Central Senatorial District has said the capacity building training organized for Artisans, Traders, Youths, and Entrepreneurs in his constituency is another form of empowerment for self-reliance and development.

The All Progressive Congress APC lawmaker while speaking during a tour of the training centers said ” It is high time to encourage young Nigerians to depend less on government for job creation and employment but make use of their creative ability and support from the government to make them self-reliant.

Senator Folarin said it was evident that there was no adequate job for teeming Nigerian youth, hence the need to empower the youth with ICT skills.

He noted that recent economic dynamics had revealed that goods and services could be digitally marketed, the reason the beneficiaries were exposed to methods of digital marketing.

Senator Folarin, while urging the beneficiaries to make good use of the privilege they had, said he was ready to give further support to those who genuinely translate all they acquired from the program to viable economic means of making ends meet.
