Director-General of Michael Imoudu National Institute For Labour Studies (MINILS), Issa Aremu, has called on the resident doctors to suspend their industrial action to save the nation’s health sector from collapse.
According to Aremu, as the strike enters second week, the call was for urgent reform to strengthen the industrial relations in the country’s health sector for sustainable peace and service delivery.
He spoke at the opening ceremony of the 2021 Training on Advocacy and Communication for Women’s Cooperatives and Economic Empowerment Collectives (WEECs) yesterday, organised in partnership with Development Research and Projects Centre (DRPC).
The workshop attracted 35 participants from 35 women leaders from hundreds of cooperative societies, trade unions and groups running Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.
