Chief (Mrs) Sarah Anaba JP, Founder of SANAB Development Foundation (SADEF). SADEF works to empower women financially through cooperatives, entrepreneurship development, capacity building and agriculture.
Madam Sarah, serve as the President of the National Cooperative Financing Agency of Nigeria (CFAN), Abia State, Nigeria Chapter and President Abia State Cooperative Finance and Credit Union Ltd. Through these platform, She have provided access to loans for women who work within SMEs through formation of numerous cooperatives.
She provide capacity building activities through Homeland Consult and Training Institute Ltd., where she is the Chief Executive Officer. Homeland Consult and Training Institute is certified as an Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and have been involved on trainings across several areas which cuts across vocational, agriculture ( palm oil processing and other allied products) and providing training for eligibility to access the CBN AGSMEIS loan.
She is currently supporting the UNESCO’s mandate to eradicate illiteracy by 2030 through her service as the Abia State Chairperson of NGO associations for Literacy Support Services (NOGASS).
She is a Graduate of Abia State University. Fellow of Chartered Institute of Administrators. Acredited Trainer of the CMD. Member Nigerian Institute of Management ( Chartered ) MNIM just but a few.
Madam Sarah have vast experience in the financial sector; she retired from Development Finance Department of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) after 33 years of service. This positioned her to serve as a member of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy for the CBN, making financial services accessible to the rural areas.
Her organisations partner with the Ministry of Women Affairs, NGOs and civil society organizations working at the grassroot level.
She have been able to create partnerships in Abia State and nationally. Also, as a Justice of Peace in her state, she have been able to use these platforms to advocate for the less privileged and address issues relating to inequality.
